Terramar Beach

Located approximately 20 miles southwest of downtown Galveston along FM 3005 and about 17 miles from the corner of Seawall Boulevard and 61st Street, Galveston Island’s Terramar Beach real estate development has been a West End mainstay for beachcombers, boaters, nature lovers and fishermen since the early ‘60s.
It boasts beautiful wetlands and is made up of 579 lots, approximately one third of which are built upon, offering a combination of beach, canal, bay, and dry lot home sites.
Because the island narrows as you travel to communities farther west, a majority of these homes in Terramar have both West Bay and Gulf views. The subdivision underwent a building boom in 2005 and 2006, so many of the homes here are newer and affordable. All the homes are single family dwellings built on pilings.
Deed restrictions do not permit commercial development and no traffic is allowed directly on the beach in front of Terramar Beach. The community boasts a community pool and pavilion. Access to the bay is easy from either your own boat house or from the public boat ramp.
